Starting up with lions

I told you here that I would start lions and now I'm going to start them. (Check out the link to see my lion socks if you haven't already!) These lions I saw at the Como Park Zoo. It was a hot day. They were just taking a rest in the shade! But close to the sun. The first fact about lions is that females usually do the hunting. They live about 25 years when they're at the zoo, but they only live about 15 years in wild life.
Tigers are the closest relative to lions in the cat family. Isn't that cool, because we've been studying tigers!

See you later!

Tiger Stripes

Lots of animals have CAMOUFLAGE . Most of them use it for hiding from predators. Tigers use it to catch their prey. Their stripes camouflage them by hiding them in the grass. It makes them look like more grass. No wonder tigers have stripes!

What are all these tigers trying to catch???

Pandas

I am trying to look like a panda here. As you know, there are no pandas around here. This is the best I could do. Do I look like a panda? If you think no DRAT! How about a fact? Even though they are bears, pandas eat a lot of bamboo, and not a lot of very much else!
